Of Railways and Forgotten Mansions

Back in 2006, when we were in one of our more exploratory moods after one of our regular Sunday MTB rides, I managed to convince Nik, Pling and Ming to take the path less traveled...into parts of Singapore which are closely tied to Malaysia....

Below was proof of our (mis)adventure ....railways that link to our neighbours up north, and an abandoned mansion (situated opposite my then humble abode) which was supposedly built by the Sultan of Johor back in the 1800s...

These 2 blast-from-the-past locations are the darling subject of photographers searching for places with character...

Istana Woodneuk Series

Bukit Timah Railway Station Series

For more information (and photos taken by other photographers) about these 2 locations, watch out for an upcoming blog...

Thks Icemoon! Am just an idiot-proof camera type of person, but spend some time after editing for the look that I prefer. :)
